I mean a central bank digital currency is a stablecoin, it\u2019s just issued by the government.\u201d Each disclosed partnership showcases a distinct approach to incorporating blockchain technology tailored to individual national requirements and circumstances.<\/p>\n<h2>Public Announcements of Ripple\u2019s Government Partnerships<\/h2>\n<p><strong>1. Bhutan:<\/strong> Ripple collaborated with the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan in September 2021 to pilot a CBDC in Bhutan, aiming to enhance digital and cross-border payments using Ripple\u2019s technology and promoting financial inclusion. The project intended to leverage the XRP Ledger\u2019s existing infrastructure known for its energy efficiency and scalability\u200b\u200b.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Republic of Palau:<\/strong> In November 2021, Ripple partnered with the Republic of Palau to explore the development of a climate-friendly digital currency resembling a USD-backed stablecoin rather than a traditional CBDC. Georgia:<\/strong> Ripple\u2019s partnership with the National Bank of Georgia, revealed in 2023, concentrates on testing the Digital Lari to enhance Georgia\u2019s public and financial sectors\u2019 efficiency, security, and inclusivity.
