On October 17, Lucie (@LucieSHIB), the marketing head for Shiba Inu, shared<\/a> through X that the Shiba Inu Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) and the Shib Doggy DAO Foundation are \u201ccoming soon.\u201d This indicates a significant transition towards community governance and decentralization.<\/p>\n

Lucie mentioned, \u201cThe time is almost here. As we target the 2024\/2025 launch, the Shib ecosystem is ready for a substantial transformation that will empower true holders.\u201d She highlighted that the forthcoming DAO and Foundation aim to keep out \u201ctrolls\u201d and \u201cFUD-spreaders\u201d who do not hold tokens yet may try to negatively affect the project\u2019s trajectory.<\/p>\n

Purpose of the Shiba Inu DAO and Foundation<\/h2>\n

The objective of the Shib Doggy DAO Foundation is to legally support the DAO, ensuring proper execution of community-driven decisions. Lucie stated, \u201cThe SHIB Doggy DAO Foundation will legally encase the DAO, making sure that community decisions are accurately carried out.\u201d This structure will manage resources such as the Doggy Treasury, preventing misallocations while promoting transparency and security.<\/p>\n

This initiative seeks to position Shiba Inu as a \u201cserious player with a long-term vision,\u201d setting it apart from projects that lack sustainability and community engagement. The DAO will allow holders of four main tokens\u2014SHIB, BONE, LEASH, and the upcoming TREAT\u2014to participate in governance decisions.<\/p>\n

The governance framework is organized into four key areas: SHIB governs the community, BONE enhances Shiba Inu\u2019s technological aspects, LEASH provides protection and exclusivity, and TREAT supports and funds community initiatives.<\/p>\n

Lucie highlighted, \u201cA DAO is a governance model where key token holders\u2014Shib, Bone, Leash, and Treat\u2014can make important decisions.\u201d She noted that this decentralized structure ensures that those committed to Shib, rather than outsiders or transient excitement, shape its future.<\/p>\n

Lucie stressed the importance of genuine token holders in influencing the project\u2019s direction, stating, \u201cReal holders will dictate the course of Shib\u2019s future.\u201d She cautioned that \u201ctrolls, FUD-spreaders, and detractors won\u2019t be able to impact anything because they lack holdings within the ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, she warned about counterfeit versions of the TREAT token, which isn\u2019t available yet. \u201cRemember that TREAT hasn\u2019t been released yet,\u201d Lucie advised. \u201cHolding any fakes means you won\u2019t be able to partake in the DAO or any related applications. As Shiba Inu transitions to this new governing system, Lucie acknowledged the time required for effective implementation. \u201cPerfecting the governance system will take time,\u201d she confessed. \u201cBut once implemented, it will create a self-sustaining system ensuring the longevity of the Shib ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n

The forthcoming launch marks a crucial point for Shiba Inu. Lucie concluded, \u201cThe launch is imminent, and the future of Shib is about to be entrusted to those who matter most: the community.
