This year’s conference marked its fourth edition organized by Yicai, with support from the Shanghai Data Service Provider Association, Shanghai Data Group, the Shanghai Data Bureau, and the Pudong district authorities.<\/p>\n

A significant outcome was the establishment of the National Data Group Alliance, recognized as China’s first ‘rights organization’ for data companies, designed to foster community and industry growth.<\/p>\n

The event also emphasized collaborative efforts among data and technology sectors. Notable participants, including the International Data Spaces Association and the Hong Kong Chamber of Data and Digital Commerce, agreed to implement continuous partnerships aimed at strengthening local businesses as they expand internationally.<\/p>\n

Dialogue among attendees emphasized Shanghai’s role in advancing public data accessibility and the creation of data centers to enhance the digital business landscape. The city’s digital economy reportedly surpassed CNY600 billion (USD 84.5 billion) last year.<\/p>\n

Pudong New Area in Shanghai stands as a prime location for supporting new technologies like blockchain. According to Shen Zhulin, deputy head of the National Data Administration, Shanghai is well-positioned to lead in trying out new technologies aimed at reducing transaction costs and promoting secure data sharing.<\/p>\n
