According to insights from blockchain researcher Checkmate, Bitcoin\u2019s current downturn is impacting the investment landscape. The term \u201cinvested capital\u201d refers to the total amount that investors have used to acquire their Bitcoin, contrasting with market cap, which reflects the current market value of these assets.<\/p>\n

Invested capital, known as Realized Cap<\/strong>, is calculated by summing up the last purchase price of each Bitcoin in circulation, providing a rough estimate of the funds tied up in the asset. This method outlines how much value investors initially saw, regardless of network transfers.<\/p>\n

The chart indicates that the bulk of the Realized Cap has a break-even point exceeding $100,000, showcasing that much of the accumulated capital entered the market after the bullish surge of late 2024.<\/p>\n

In more precise terms, around 57%<\/strong> of capital is now positioned above current prices, illustrating the substantial portion of investors currently sitting at a loss. Despite this, the overall unrealized loss across the investor base remains relatively modest.<\/p>\n
