While investors eagerly awaited their promised returns, Dunlap was living lavishly, spending $215,000<\/strong> on a Ferrari and investing in various luxury vehicles and extravagant personal expenditures.<\/p>\n

Even in the face of federal investigations, he did not relent. After the Securities and Exchange Commission mandated a freeze on his assets, Dunlap continued to host webinars, promoting the scheme to more potential victims. His refusal to comply led to a civil contempt charge before the criminal trial even commenced.<\/p>\n

Reports<\/a> suggest that Dunlap attempted to evade legal repercussions using dubious “sovereign citizen” strategies, disputing the court’s jurisdiction and submitting nonsensical legal documents.<\/p>\n
