Federal authorities claim that Johnston, along with unidentified co-conspirators, impersonated customer support representatives from well-known search engines and cryptocurrency companies. Their alleged strategy involved misleading victims about the security of their accounts, gaining access to those accounts, and transferring assets before the victims realized what was happening.<\/p>\n
