According to Austin Federa, Head of Strategy at Solana Foundation, the network\u2019s congestion woes stem from the implementation of the QUIC protocol, exacerbated by unprecedented demand. Federa acknowledged that while the issue had been on the roadmap for resolution, resources were redirected to other critical projects such as the upcoming Firedancer client, aimed at enhancing Solana\u2019s resilience.<\/p>\n
Efforts to tackle the congestion include collaboration with developers from Anza, Firedancer team, infrastructure company Jito, and others. An anticipated fix for Anza\u2019s Agave validator client is scheduled for release around April 15, offering hope for congestion relief.<\/p>\n
While increased trading activity is evident, some within the community point to additional factors exacerbating the issue. Projects like Ore, simulating a Bitcoin mining experience on Solana, and allegations of infrastructure firms exploiting network vulnerabilities for profit, have added to the strain.<\/p>\n
