Roam is an innovative project in the Web3 space that aims to establish a decentralized wireless network. It combines features like OpenRoaming WiFi, a Smart Global eSIM, and on-device edge intelligence to enhance connectivity. The concept is framed as a “Web3 telco in your pocket,” allowing users to connect via millions of hotspots or utilize eSIM data spanning over 190 countries. By participating in the network, users earn Roam Points as well as $ROAM rewards, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem.

To support its development, Roam has successfully secured multiple funding rounds, raising approximately $5 million in a strategic round with notable investors such as Samsung NEXT, Volt Capital, Anagram, SNZ Holding, and Stratified Capital.

Details of the Roam Airdrop

Roam has conducted its token generation event (TGE), successfully listing $ROAM on various major exchanges while launching a campaign that distributed 6 million $ROAM tokens. While there has been no announcement regarding a new large-scale retroactive airdrop, users can still earn rewards through ongoing activities. Users acquire Roam Points via network interactions, which can be converted to $ROAM through the in-app Burning Pool. The team also periodically distributes Airdrop Stickers to those who actively contribute to the network as builders and validators.

Important Parameters:

• Airdrop Allocation: Currently, no new round announced (6 million $ROAM was distributed during the March 2025 launch campaign)
• Distribution Method: Earn Roam Points through app activities, which are then converted to $ROAM via the Burning Pool
• TGE Date: March 6, 2025 (completed)
• Vesting Schedule: Features a Bitcoin-style decay emission, starting at approximately 0.6% per month and gradually decreasing

The reward system operates on a two-way burning mechanism. Roam Points are eliminated when converted to $ROAM, and 97% of any $ROAM that is returned through the Token Reversal Pool is also taken out of circulation.
