In a recent podcast, Qiao Wang, co-founder of Alliance, offered insights into the differences between Zcash and Bitcoin. He characterized Zcash as a “mutable Bitcoin,” highlighting its capability to adapt to technological changes and emerging threats, such as those posed by quantum computing.

Wang contrasted Zcash’s flexibility with Bitcoin’s increasingly immutable nature, which he argues provides stability in terms of supply and protocol predictability but can hinder adaptation to evolving user needs. He clarified that while he views Zcash as a potential hedge against risks that Bitcoin may face, he does not regard it as a superior alternative. Wang noted that his holdings in Bitcoin significantly surpass those in Zcash, reflecting his perspective on the respective roles of the two cryptocurrencies in his investment strategy.
