Plasma and Stripe Forge Partnership to Innovate Multi-Currency Payment Solutions
Plasma, a company specializing in stablecoin transactions, has entered into a partnership with Stripe, a prominent payments technology company, to create innovative payment products. This collaboration, announced recently, aims to enhance the user experience by developing multi-currency support cards.
Focus on Simplifying Payments
Rather than simply utilizing existing Stripe products, Plasma will work closely with Stripe as a design partner. The goal is to streamline the payment process for both individuals and businesses engaging in international transactions across various currencies.

Supported Currencies
According to announcements from Stripe Crypto, the new payment infrastructure will accommodate several currencies, including the US dollar, Brazilian real, euro, Mexican peso, and Colombian peso. Furthermore, the stablecoins USDC and OUSD will also be integrated into the system, expanding options for users.
Expansion Plans
Stripe’s card infrastructure currently reaches over 30 countries, with plans to expand to over 100 countries by 2027. However, it’s important to note that this broadening does not guarantee immediate availability of the newly developed cards with Plasma in all these regions.
Uncertain Role of XPL Token
The partnership announcement did not clarify the specific role of Plasma’s native token, XPL, within the new card offerings. This collaboration marks the first substantial initiative between the two companies under their broader product partnership.
