Bitcoin’s journey mirrors that of gold as it navigates through its price phases. According to recent insights shared by crypto expert Alex Vang on the social network X, the leading cryptocurrency’s current market behavior closely reflects the historical patterns of gold, especially during its accumulation and breakout phases.
Vang’s analysis, featuring visual comparisons, indicates that the recent price corrections Bitcoin has experienced after peaking earlier this year are part of a much larger, strategic realignment with the uptrend displayed by gold recently. This connection suggests that Bitcoin is positioning itself for substantial growth.

Phases of Market Transition: From Distribution to Breakout
Examining Bitcoin’s price chart reveals a journey that parallels gold across different timeframes. While Bitcoin’s market dynamics unfold on the medium-term 2-week charts, gold’s trajectory illustrates a longer-term outlook on monthly candlestick formations. The correlation in structure is notable and significant for future forecasts.
The comparative analysis indicates that gold’s historical pricing mechanism initiated with a distribution phase from 2011 to 2013. This was followed by a long accumulation phase lasting until mid-2019. After establishing a robust base, gold entered a re-accumulation phase that has led to its recent historical highs, soaring above $3,300 per ounce.
Vang further illustrates that Bitcoin has undergone a comparable evolution. Following its record peak of $69,000 in late 2021, Bitcoin entered a period of distribution throughout 2022. What transpired in 2023 can be regarded as a textbook accumulation period, leading to a strong upward trend breaking past $45,000. This mirrors gold’s prior pricing patterns leading up to its explosive breakout.
Currently, Bitcoin’s upward trajectory commenced in late 2024. The accompanying chart outlines this current phase, with analysts optimistic about Bitcoin’s trajectory towards new record heights.

Anticipations for Bitcoin’s Future: Looking Towards Q3 2025
Interestingly, gold also observed a similar retracement during its ascent shortly after achieving a major peak beyond $2,750. This correction spanned two monthly candlesticks before it rekindled its vigorous rally. “Gold experienced a correction after hitting its all-time high, paralleling Bitcoin’s journey,” Vang noted.
This implies that Bitcoin’s current market activity does not indicate weakness, but rather a strategic consolidation set to precede a significant price jump. Just as gold soared after emerging from re-accumulation, Bitcoin could soon follow a similar trajectory.
Based on these fractal similarities and ongoing trends, Vang anticipates that Bitcoin may peak between $125,000 and $130,000 in the third quarter of 2025, with current trading prices hovering around $105,600.
