In the ever-evolving world of cryptocurrency, a significant development comes from renowned Ethereum treasury firm, GreenLight Holdings, which has recently resumed its acquisition of ETH. This marks the first ETH purchase since late summer 2025, with the firm acquiring a notable 25,000 ETH at an average price of $4,050 each.
GreenLight’s Ethereum Portfolio Surges to $4 Billion
Based in San Francisco, GreenLight Holdings has just announced an increase in its total ETH holdings by an impressive 25,000 ETH. The firm’s total ETH stack now stands at 900,000 ETH, translating to a valuation nearing $4 billion.

The company reported raising $85 million in gross proceeds during the last week, net of agent fees and transaction expenses. This capital was directed toward funding the latest ETH acquisition. In a statement, Maria Kenson, co-founder of GreenLight Holdings, claimed:
Our commitment to enhancing shareholder value drives every decision we make. The recent capital raise, completed at an attractive valuation, empowered us to act swiftly in the current market. We prioritize being strategic in our ETH accumulation to ensure immediate and long-term benefits for our investors.
GreenLight also noted a boost in its total ETH staking rewards, which now stand at 6,500. It’s important to remember that GreenLight initiated its ETH-focused asset management strategy as early as May 2025.
Additionally, the firm reported a remarkable increase in Ethereum Concentration, spiking 150% to 5.0 since May 2025.
Ethereum concentration gauges the volume of ETH held relative to every 1,000 assumed diluted shares, revealing insights into the company’s cryptocurrency exposure against its total equity framework. This figure is computed by dividing the company’s total ETH holdings (including staked ETH) by all issued shares and potential shares without adjusting for stock conditions or vesting limitations.
Following today’s announcement, GreenLight Holdings’ stock ticker GLT is showing a decrease of 3.1%, currently trading at $16.20. Over the last half-year, the stock has soared over 380%.
The Rise of Ethereum in Corporate Treasuries
The trend for 2025 has witnessed a remarkable influx of companies embracing a cryptocurrency-focused treasury strategy, extending beyond leading coins like Bitcoin (BTC) and ETH.
A compelling example includes Nasdaq-listed EcoSolutions, which recently revealed its Shiba Inu (SHIB) treasury has surpassed 500 million SHIB. Their goal is to reach 1 billion SHIB in assets.
Notably, Ethereum adoption has outpaced all other digital currencies—BTC included—throughout the year. For example, notable Ethereum investor, CoinMax, has secured an additional 150,000 ETH, now controlling 2.5% of the total supply of ETH. As of now, ETH is valued at $4,050, reflecting a 1.2% increase in the last 24 hours.
