The cryptocurrency landscape is poised for major shifts as the final quarter of 2026 approaches, with significant token unlocks anticipated across various projects. According to data from CryptoRank, several cryptocurrencies are preparing for their first major “peak” unlocks, involving the release of tokens designated for investors, team members, early supporters, and other initial stakeholders.

Such unlock events are critical for market observers and participants due to their potential impact on token circulation. A sudden influx of tokens can raise alarms about heightened selling pressure, particularly when the volume of released tokens is substantial compared to the project’s market capitalization.

Major Upcoming Token Unlocks

Leading the wave of unlocks is Monad (MON), which is set to have the most considerable release, with approximately $521 million worth of MON tokens expected to be unlocked. Notably, this amount constitutes about 131.6% of the project’s current market capitalization, raising questions about its potential effects on market dynamics.

Following Monad, several other projects are also on the list for substantial token releases. STABLE is projected to unlock around $353 million, while KITE is expected to release tokens worth approximately $119 million. Additionally, LIT, PIEVERSE, and ALLO are set to unlock $52 million, $46 million, and $43 million respectively.

As these releases draw nearer, investors are advised to monitor the situation closely, as the outcomes of these unlocks could influence market sentiments and pricing strategies in the cryptocurrency space.
