Bitwise, a prominent U.S.-based crypto asset management firm, has unveiled ambitious predictions for the altcoin NEAR after filing an ETF application with the SEC. Managing assets exceeding $15 billion, Bitwise released a report outlining three potential price scenarios for NEAR, projected through the year 2030.
Future Price Projections for NEAR
Co-authored by Bitwise’s Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan, along with André Dragosch and Ayush Tripathi, the report presents a range of price forecasts for NEAR, reflecting various market conditions. In the worst-case scenario, near could drop to $1.63. Conversely, in a best-case scenario, prices might soar to as much as $562.8. The company’s base case estimates a price of $155.8, suggesting a 30-fold increase from current levels, while the bullish scenario indicates potential growth exceeding 100 times.

However, Bitwise clarifies that the $155 estimate is not necessarily the most probable outcome. This assumption is contingent upon NEAR’s development into a major transaction and payment network tailored for artificial intelligence agents. The firm’s model anticipates that by the end of the decade, approximately 16.4 billion AI agents will be operational globally, with around 2%—or about 328 million—utilizing the NEAR ecosystem.
Operational Projections
Under the model’s projections, each AI agent is expected to conduct an average of 1,000 operations annually, each with a transaction value of roughly $5. This leads to the notion that NEAR could facilitate hundreds of billions of operations per year, significantly boosting its value and utility in the ever-evolving landscape of AI technologies.
It’s important to note that these projections are speculative and should not be construed as investment advice as the crypto market remains highly volatile.
