XRP Price Faces Downward Pressure, Analyst Warns of Potential Drop
Prominent cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez has raised concerns about the future price of Ripple’s XRP, suggesting it may dip to $0.98 if selling pressure from large investors escalates. The analyst’s assessment draws on various technical indicators and on-chain data that signal possible risks for the digital asset.
Investor Sentiment Shifts
Recent data highlighted by Martinez indicates a troubling trend among large investors in the XRP ecosystem. The number of significant wallets, which hold between 10 million and 100 million XRP, decreased from 351 to 339 over a short period. This 12-wallet drop suggests that large holders are reducing their positions, a move that could intensify selling pressure in the market.

Increased Exchange Balances
Compounding these concerns, the total XRP held on cryptocurrency exchanges has surged. This metric jumped from 11.003 billion XRP to approximately 11.05 billion in just a week, signifying a substantial inflow of XRP into trading platforms. According to the analyst, this trend may lead to an increased supply of the asset available for sale, further exacerbating price challenges.
Critical Support Levels
From a technical perspective, the $1.26 mark emerges as a pivotal support level for XRP. Martinez illustrated that this price point aligns with the lower boundary of a price channel that has developed since August. Should XRP breach this support, the price could fall to $1.11 initially. Continued declines might see it reach the targeted $0.98, marking a potential 22% drop from the critical $1.26 support level.
Key Factors Influencing Price Outlook
Martinez attributes the negative outlook for XRP to several factors: the diminishing number of large investor wallets, elevated XRP reserves on exchanges, and the potential breach of the critical support level. These elements, if they persist, could significantly influence the asset’s market dynamics.
