Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, is preparing to introduce perpetual futures trading in the United States, according to a report from Bloomberg. This initiative will be realized through Hyperliquid, a decentralized exchange focused on perpetual futures.
Partnership with Trade.xyz
To establish this new marketplace, ICE has formed a partnership with Trade.xyz, a company that runs a trading platform within hyperliquid’s ecosystem. This collaboration aims to create a seamless trading experience for users in this innovative futures market.

Market Offerings and Compliance
The upcoming platform is set to provide perpetual futures contracts that will be linked to a variety of assets, including stocks, stock indices, commodities, and currency pairs. Additionally, the new market plans to utilize Hyperliquid’s blockchain technology, ensuring compliance with U.S. regulations by incorporating robust systems for clearing, know-your-customer (KYC), and anti-money laundering (AML).
Investment and Regulatory Approval
As part of the agreement, ICE will acquire a stake in Trade.xyz, although specific details regarding the investment amount have not been publicly disclosed. Before the launch can proceed, the initiative must receive approval from the relevant regulatory bodies, primarily the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Investors and market participants will be closely watching the developments surrounding this ambitious project, which could significantly change the landscape for futures trading in the U.S.
