Best Cryptos Poised to Follow Hyperliquid’s Path

Hyperliquid (HYPE) has recently demonstrated remarkable resilience in the cryptocurrency market, registering a significant price increase during a typically challenging bear market phase. While established cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have struggled, Hyperliquid’s native token surged by over 60% within just one month. This impressive growth has sparked interest among investors seeking the next potential token to achieve similar gains and possibly reach new all-time highs.

Competitors to Hyperliquid: ASTER and LIT Tokens

In the wake of Hyperliquid’s success following its 2024 token launch, several competitive cryptocurrencies have emerged in the market. The most notable competitor so far is ASTER, which serves as the native token for the Aster decentralized perpetual exchange.

While ASTER’s development lags behind that of Hyperliquid, its open interest has impressively grown into the billions, making it the only other decentralized exchange besides Hyperliquid to reach this level. This growth has certainly captured the attention of the crypto community.

Despite this achievement, ASTER has faced challenges. Currently, the token is approximately 70% below its all-time high of $2.40, which it reached in September 2024. Given this context, many investors are speculating that ASTER may experience a rise similar to that of Hyperliquid.

Following closely behind is the LIT token, native to the Lighter decentralized perpetual exchange. Although Lighter has generated some interest, it has yet to achieve the billion-dollar open interest benchmark set by its competitors, Hyperliquid and ASTER.

Currently, Lighter ranks fourth in terms of open interest among decentralized perpetual exchanges. However, it holds third place regarding trading volume, outperforming other exchanges like Variational Omni, which has an open interest of $959 million, according to data from CoinCodex.

On the financial front, the LIT token has mirrored the performance of the ASTER token, experiencing an increase shortly after its launch that brought its price to an all-time high of $4. However, it has since declined by more than 66% from that peak, leading to speculation about the potential for a future recovery.

As for Hyperliquid, its dominance continues to be evident in the market. The token currently boasts a market capitalization of $17.3 billion, positioning it as the ninth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, surpassing notable coins like Dogecoin and Cash (ZEC).
