New Bitcoin Price Projections Highlight Significant Future Variability
In a recent simulation, on-chain analyst Willy Woo has presented a comprehensive forecast for Bitcoin’s price movements through 2028, indicating potential peaks in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The simulation, which generated 10,000 diverse price trajectories, suggests a possible peak ranging from approximately $241,000 to $413,000 by the end of 2028, while also forecasting sharp declines shortly thereafter.
Methodology Behind the Simulation
Woo clarified that the outcomes of his model are optimistic but grounded in a rigorous statistical framework. The simulation employs a Monte Carlo method, a technique that generates multiple scenarios by analyzing historical price data rather than relying on a fixed upward trend. This approach captures both potential rallies and pullbacks across different market conditions.

Central to his analysis is the determination of Bitcoin’s market cycle phase. Woo emphasized that he did not simply fit the data to a standard statistical model; instead, he utilized a distribution reflective of Bitcoin’s historical fluctuations. His data selection focused on the more contemporary period from 2018 to 2022, deliberately excluding prior years characterized by extreme volatility.
Key Findings and Future Predictions
The median results in Woo’s simulation point to a peak of around $413,000 for Bitcoin in December 2028. However, this surge is followed by significant declines, with projections showing a potential drop to approximately $234,000 by April 2030, indicating a decrease of nearly 43%. In a more pessimistic scenario, the peak could be as low as $241,000, with an eventual plunge to $126,000, thus representing a decline of approximately 48%.
The stark differences in outcomes reflect a wide range of possibilities. For instance, the simulation’s upper 90% scenario suggests a towering price of around $1.44 million by March 2029, whereas the lower 10% predicts a substantially lower price of around $51,900 in April 2030.
Understanding the Implications
Woo’s preference for the 28th to 50th percentiles serves to illustrate realistic expectations rather than implying a mere 28-50% probability of hitting these price ranges. This analysis is particularly relevant as it aligns with historical patterns, where the bottom of the subsequent bear market typically finds support near the peak of the preceding bull market.
Looking further ahead, the simulation suggests a median price of approximately $1.03 million by February 2033, highlighting the long-term potential growth of Bitcoin.
